When is the last time you took a risk? How did it work out?
It depends on what qualifies as risk from person to person. But with the way life goes, just waking up everyday is a risk!
And then, people have varying risk tolerance levels. While jumping out from an airplane several thousands of miles in the air qualifies as risk to some people, to some others it is a completely fun experience.
But we have to consciously shed our need to be safe if we want to learn and grow. Nobody leaves the game of life safely; we all arrive the ultimate dreaded end eventually. While we don’t need to recklessly expedite our exit, we also don’t need to cling to our existence to the point of crippling ourselves.
If you have to take that risk, just do it. Don’t take life, yourself, and other people too seriously.
