Thoughts On Longevity
What are your thoughts on the concept of living a very long life?
Who’s to say if living a very long life should be desired or not? Who’s to determine whether it’s a good or a bad idea? Who’s going to be the righteous chief judge to deliver this judgment?
We must admit that life holds different meanings to different people and there’s no universal code to accurately determine its longevity, quality, or any other element of being alive.
If all conditions are right, and living a very long life doesn’t become a burden to anyone else, and one does not have to rely on another to have their daily needs of integrity met, what’s not to desire of a very long life?
However, if conditions are not ideal and one has to depend upon others for physical and psychological support, is humanity so poor that it cannot spare its love, kindness and support for the dignity of another human?
Whatever the answers to these questions may be, nobody is to say if a very long life is to be desired or willed away.
