Tom & Jerry

It’s interesting to note that after coming to age and realizing the undertones of the cartoon, I still love it.
We’ve all woven through the Tom & Jerry personalities and situations in our lives.
If you participate in the American workforce, then you just know how you’re very likely to find yourself in the Tom position much more than Jerry.
You have experienced the coworker who is very skilled at getting others into trouble and manipulating the higher ups to see them as the victims instead.
And yes, you get hurt by a thoughtless coworker and also get slammed by the powers that be, and there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it.
Occasionally, we get to enjoy being in the Jerry position. We succeed at being the ick in someone else’s work life, and we enjoy watching them pay for trying to call us out.
Guess what? The game goes on!
Do you think that it’s a coincidence that we call this game a rat race? I don’t think so.
Occasionally, there’s the “big dog” who believes that they are no a part of the rat race. But nice Mr. Jerry ropes them in. They hit on the cat who’s already a victim thinking that they’re protecting the smaller “vulnerable” Jerry.
Listen, Tom & Jerry becomes even more interesting when you realize that it’s a disguised story about the American workplace.
As an adult, I’d binge on all the episodes of Tom & Jerry!
