The Applause. The Legacy.
Tell us one thing you hope people say about you.
Don’t live for the applause because you’ll never get it. And if you get it, it won’t ever be enough.
Live your life and hope that people say the best things possible about you.
Do right to the best of your ability and know that the right thing can sometimes become the wrongest thing possible.
Don’t sacrifice the strengths of your personality on the alter of agreeableness. That’s how you ignite depression within yourself.
Be kind for no reason at all and hope that it comes back to you one way or the other.
Stay out of unnecessary conversations. It’s okay to sit quietly or not want to share anything personal about your life with total strangers or people you’re not comfortable with.
Understand that whatever anyone has to say about you, good or bad, is muddled with their own image far more than it is entirely true of who you are.
This does not take away the role of establishing a legacy. But the people who have a legacy mostly set out honestly satisfying their curiosities in life than they were focused on building a legacy.
Focus on today. A legacy is a conglomeration of days lived honorably towards oneself and others.
Focus on what you want to say about yourself. Eventually, people start saying of you what you and your loved ones say of you.
Good luck!
