The Heart of Seoul

What cities do you want to visit?

I hear that Seoul is a vibrant city with a rich blend of history, culture, and modernity.

I heard that one standout destination is Gyeongbokgung Palace which is one of the largest of the Five Grand Palaces built during the Joseon Dynasty and offers a glimpse into Korea’s royal history.

I learned it has a stunning architecture, beautiful gardens, and the Changing of the Guard ceremony as its main highlights.

In addition to Gyeongbokgung, other notable attractions include:

  1. Bukchon Hanok Village: A traditional Korean village with well-preserved hanoks (traditional houses) that provides a picturesque backdrop and a sense of historical authenticity.
  2. N Seoul Tower: Offering panoramic views of the city, it’s a popular spot for both tourists and locals, especially at sunset.
  3. Myeongdong: A bustling shopping district known for fashion, cosmetics, and street food.
  4. Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP): An architectural marvel that hosts various exhibitions and events, blending modern design with cultural experiences.
  5. Insadong: A cultural district famous for its arts, crafts, and traditional tea houses.

In a connecting flight on my return from a European trip, I happened to share seats with my country men who were returning from a world leadership conference that held in Seoul, and they couldn’t stop talking about how magnificent the city of Seoul is.

What’s the one place you’d like to visit?
