If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be, and why?

Me.

Because that’s all I’ve been all my life.

Because I am content with how my life is unfolding.

Because I am confident that I will finish this race honorably.

Because I don’t think anyone else’s life is easier than mine.

Because being me is challenging enough.

Because I wouldn’t want someone else to be me.

Because I love waking up in my body everyday and taking on the responsibilities of figuring me out.

Because I love the versions of me that exist in relationship to all the people that I love.

Because I don’t want to lose contact with the people I love even if for a brief moment.

Because I don’t underestimate the entity that is me and what it is capable of.

Because I treasure every single moment of my life’s becoming and wouldn’t want to miss any one of them for any reason at all.

Because I can put my thoughts together and figure out how to get the people that I deeply admire to talk to me about how it feels to be them.

Because being me, is all I ever want to be as long as this life is concerned.
